Last Friday we drove up to the Maskinonge in Waterton Lakes National Park. It was unbelievably calm that evening. I don't think I have ever seen it so still; the water was like glass. So here are some reflection images from that evening.

I love sunsets. There is something so magical about this short time each day. The colours that appear in the sky are amazing. The natural array of colours that blend perfectly is hypnotizing. Since the intense colours of sunsets usually last but minutes, I find that they help me pause, sit back for a moment, and reflect upon life and the beauty of the earth on which we live. I wish that they would last longer, but I think it is that shortness of time that really makes them so special. We live in such a busy world that the small beauties we can see every day can pass right by us without us even giving it a glance. This goes for more than just sunsets, it goes for our families, friends, a book you are reading, anything really. Next time you see a sunset, pause for a moment from your busy schedule to just enjoy it. These photos were taken in Waterton Lakes National Park. |
